You can enjoy lemonade all year round especially in the winter with Alize’s Red Passion Vodka. Enjoy this sweet and tart Winter Cranberry Lemonade made with cranberries, cinnamon, and real lemons!

Just because winter is upon us, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a nice glass of lemonade. Spike WInter Cranberry Lemonade with Alize Red Passion Vodka that is.

I am definitely a seasonal eater. Meaning, I am the person who soup when it’s cold outside; I eat foods with spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in the fall; and I drink Hot Chocolate in the winter (unless I go to Bob Evans). Growing up in the midwest, where I have been blessed to experience the changing of all four seasons, has greatly contributed to my seasonal eating habits. I am sure I am not the only one out there who can relate to what I am talking about. I’ll give you an example, how many of you eat more cookies in the winter than any time of the year? Cookies are not a “seasonal food item”, but because of the winter season, they seem to be everywhere!

I wonder how much butter, sugar, and flour is sold around this time of year?

My point is, there are foods and dishes that tend to be more enjoyable during certain seasons because of the association that has been established in our upbringing. This also goes for beverages. I already mentioned Hot Chocolate, for me, is more enjoyable during the winter (unless I go to Bob Evans…mmm). However, there are other beverages that tend to be more enjoyable during other seasons throughout the year. Let’ see there is Apple Cider that is most popular during the fall and lemonade that is enjoy preferred the most in the summer. I mean I get it! The main fruit that is in these drinks are of plenty during the seasons these drinks are most popular. But what if we started thinking outside the box and mixed and mingled seasonal drinks as to where they can be enjoyed throughout the year? All you have to do is to add another ingredient to make the drink make sense for the season. That is exactly what I did in my Spiked WInter Cranberry Lemonade Recipe made with real cranberries and lemons along with Alize’s Red Passion Vodka.

I am a huge fan of Alize. In fact, I have made my Peach Iced Tea using their Peach Flavored Vodka a couple of summers ago. It was fantastic! What I love about Alize is their vodka tastes like vodka but with their many flavors, you can actually enjoy drinking the liquor straight (if you wanted to)! I don’t make taking a drink straight to the head if I am having a rough day or if something is weighing heavy on my mind but with Alize Passion vodka, I don’t have to! I can use their vodka flavors to make an amazing co*cktail and enjoy the flavor of my beverage and the vodka. Kind of like what I did in this Spiked Winter Cranberry Lemonade.

Remember earlier in this blog post where I mentioned taking a traditional seasonal beverage and adding an ingredient in the current season to make it more….seasonal? That is exactly what I did with this Spiked Winter Cranberry Lemonade made with Alize’s Red Passion Vodka. I made a simple syrup using real cranberries, juiced some lemons, added some orange juice, added some flavored carbonated water for some fizz, and topped the drink off with Alize’s Red Passion vodka that flavored with cranberries and passion fruit! AMAZE-BALLS! Here is the secret ingredient…cinnamon. Just a touch and add some cinnamon sticks to let the flavors fuse together and you have a winter-inspired lemonade folks. I am seriously making this Spike Winter Cranberry Lemonade in a few weeks for a shin-dig I am hosting. I cannot wait to see people’s faces as they taste this awesome homemade lemonade recipe. Mostly, I cannot WAIT to hear from you guys as to how much you love this Spiked Winter Cranberry Lemonade co*cktail.

Description

Enjoy a nice glass of lemonade with this Spiked WInter Cranberry Lemonade recipe made with Alize Red Passion Vodka!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 10 lemons, squeezed
  • 1 ½ c. water
  • 1 ½ c. sugar
  • ½ c. cranberries
  • 4 c. 100% Cranberry Juice
  • 1 ½ c. orange juice
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • Flavored Carbonated Water
  • Alize Red Passion Vodka

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan on medium heat, add the water, sugar, and cranberries and bring to a boil for 10 minutes until sugar is dissolved and cranberries are soft. Reduce to low heat for 5 minutes and remove from heat and allow to cool completely. The mixture should be thickened. If it not as thick as syrup, that is fine.
  2. Usine a 4 Liter Pitcher, add the fresh lemon juice, cranberry simple syrup, orange juice, and cranberry juice and stir. Add a pinch of cinnamon and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Fill glasses, halfway, with ice and pour in the lemonade in the glasses halfway. Top off with Alize Red Passion Vodka and a little flavored carbonated water and serve.
  4. Garnish: Powdered sugar around the rim for the winter effect; sugar cranberries on a toothpick on the side of the glass; and/or add cinnamon sticks to the glasses.
