Ingredients Needed

Here is all you need to make this limeade recipe.

Lime: Persian limes are what we recommend but if you can’t find them then regular limes work. Make sure to wash the limes as you are blending the rind and flesh of the lime.

Ice Water: Filtered water is best and this drink, as it won’t add flavors to the drink. You can add more ice to serve up your drink.

Sweetened Condensed Milk: This is where the creamy and frothy texture comes into play. It sweetens up the drink but also adds tons of texture to your limeade.

Lemon Lime Soda: Want a bubbly lemonade? In a glass filled halfway full with a lemon-lime soda, carbonated water, or ginger ale. Then pour the limeade mixture over, stir, and devour.

Ginger: Add some freshly grated ginger into the blender, to give it a warm kick of ginger to the drink.

Storing Leftovers

Transfer any of the leftovers into a sealed container and store them in the fridge. Glass pitchers are best as they will not take on the flavors of the fridge. Your drink will last 2-3 days.

Just stir well before you go to serve it up, as it will settle a bit as it sits in the fridge.

Due to the ingredients, you will find this drink does not thaw well once it has been frozen. The flavor and texture will be different from drinking it fresh.

Tips for Making

Limes

Persian limes are best as the rind is a lot softer and not as bitter. If you can’t find them any limes work. Reach for brightly green colored limes that are ripe. You want the lime to feel heavy for its size.

Blending

Make sure to use a high-speed blender for this drink. It is needed to break down the lime peels, and get all the ingredients fully incorporated.

Serve Chilled

This drink is best served in a glass with ice. The colder the drink the better the flavor of the limeade will be.

Strain

If you don’t want pulp or pieces of the peels in your glass, strain it first. You can use a fine mesh strainer or a cheesecloth. Then discard the pulp and peels before serving.
