CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ—The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ocean City Police Department have announced the arrest of a juvenile in relation to a stabbing incident that occurred on the Ocean City boardwalk over Memorial Day weekend.

On the evening of Saturday, May 25, at approximately 9:12 PM, the Ocean City Police Department responded to a 911 call about an assault on the boardwalk. The altercation, involving a group of juveniles, resulted in one juvenile victim suffering lacerations and a stab wound to the abdomen.

The injured juvenile was transported to Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City and received treatment for his injuries.

Following an extensive investigation, which included witness interviews and surveillance footage review, detectives identified and apprehended a juvenile suspect on June 4, with the cooperation of the Hamilton Township and Pleasantville Police Departments.

The suspect, whose name is withheld due to age, faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapon possession offenses. The juvenile is currently held in a detention facility pending further court proceedings.

    BALTIMORE, MD – Early this morning, Baltimore Central District patrol officers were summoned by the Baltimore City Fire Department Medic unit to assist at a local hospital emergency room where a shooting victim had sought help.

    The incident occurred at approximately 1:56 AM.

    The victim, a 16-year-old female, was found with two gunshot wounds to her right wrist. She is currently listed in stable condition at the hospital. According to preliminary investigations, the incident took place in the 800 block of South Broadway during a physical altercation, where she was reportedly shot by an unidentified man amidst the chaos.

    After the shooting, the victim approached a nearby medic who subsequently transported her to the hospital. Central District Shooting detectives have since taken over the investigation and are actively seeking leads.

    STAMFORD, CT – The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is currently investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that took place on Thursday at approximately 11:08 PM at 100 Bridge St, Scalzi Park. The crash involved a 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike operated by 23-year-old Stamford resident, Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro.

    According to the police, while navigating the outer roadway of Scalzi Park, Chinchilla-Najarro lost control of the motorcycle, mounted the curb, and collided with the guardrail on the east side of the park. The impact of the crash resulted in fatal injuries for Chinchilla-Najarro, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The initial findings suggest that the speed at which the motorcycle was being operated may have contributed to the accident. The investigation into the exact causes of the crash remains ongoing.

    The Stamford Police are reaching out to the public for any additional information related to the incident. Witnesses or individuals with further details are encouraged to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad at (203) 977-4712.
