Division Rivals Guide for Football Club 25 (2024)

Division Rivals in Football Club 25 is an online seasonal competition with a point-driven rank system that can be played Solo or Co-Op, allowing users to earn rewards and the Champions Points.

A Division is a group of players playing online in Rivals. The higher the division, the better the players are supposed to be.

There are eleven divisions in total. The elite division is reserved for the top players, whereas division 10 accommodates the less experienced ones. In-game, you can track how many points you need to reach each division.

The Elite Division is the highest level of competition in Division Rivals, surpassing Division 1. To qualify for the Elite Division, you must first advance through Division 1. Once you’ve reached the Elite Division, you’ll remain there for the duration of the active Ultimate Team Season.

The Elite Division is reserved for the top UT players, where all participants are ranked based on their Skill Rating. The top 200 players are showcased on the Global Leaderboard, divided into platform groups: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5; Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S; PC (Origin/Steam).

In FC 25, your starting Division in Rivals will take into account your highest Division achieved from FC 24.This adjustment will help you get to a well-suited Division faster, earn higher tier rewards quicker and help ensure our new players aren’t playing against our highly skilled veterans at the start of the game.

With the exception of the Elite Division, where promotion is based on skill rating, your promotion or relegation in other divisions is determined by the number of points you accumulate during the season.

Division Rivals in Football Club 25 operates on a ladder system, with each Division comprising the following elements:

  • Ranks that reflect your progress within a Division and unlock better Weekly Rewards;
  • Stages, which are the individual steps between Ranks;
  • Checkpoints, that prevent losing progress and ensure that players remain at their appropriate skill level.

Your advancement on the ladder is determined by the outcome of each match:

  • Winning a match gives you 3 points;
  • Drawing a match givew you 1 point;
  • Losing a match doesn’t give you any point.

It depends on which division and stage you are in. You can see it in-game on your Rivals dashboard’s [Progress] screen.

If no checkpoint prevents you from going down, you can be relegated to a lower Division. The exception is the Elite Division. Once you make it to the Elite Division, you will remain there throughout the rest of the season.

Yes, you can. As long as you win or lose enough matches to be promoted or relegated, that will happen.

Matchmaking in Division Rivals endeavors to pair players with opponents from nearby Stages and Divisions, considering their physical location for match allocation at the appropriate FC Game Data Center. For those in the Elite Division, matchmaking is exclusive to other Elite Players, factoring in Skill Rating and geographical proximity.

It’s exactly what it sounds like – a way to rate your skills or performance in the Elite Division. With every match you play, your Skill Rating will change. It will increase or decrease based on how you do in your matches.

Who matchmake with you in the Elite Division is impacted by your skill rating. It also determines your overall ranking compared to the other Elite Division players, with the very best making it to the Top 200 Leaderboard.

Every match you play in Division Rivals will determine changes to your Skill Rating. Win a match, and your Skill rating will probably go up; lose a match, and it will probably go down. The amount that it changes depends on both your Skill Rating as well as your opponent’s.

If you win a match with someone with a higher Skill Rating than you, yours will go up more than if you won against someone with a similar or lower Skill Rating. If you draw, your Skill Rating could go up, down, or not change. That’s because if your opponent has a lower Skill Rating, yours will drop. If their Skill Rating is the same as yours, it might stay right where it is. If their Skill Rating is higher than yours, your Skill Rating could go up.

In each Elite Division match, there’s a K-Factor of 30, representing the maximum potential change in Skill Rating from one match. The magnitude of gain or loss depends on the disparity between the Skill Ratings of both players. It’s important to note that in Co-Op matches, Skill Rating calculation is based on the highest-rated player on the opposing team. Therefore, teammates and opponents may experience greater fluctuations in Skill Rating compared to you, depending on their individual Skill Ratings.

There are two types of Rivals in Football Club 25: base weekly rewards and upgrade weekly rewards. The complete list is published on our website.

Yes, the higher your division and rank are, the better your rewards will be.

You earn Weekly Rewards in Division Rivals by winning a specified number of points before the week concludes. At the week’s end, your reward is determined by your current Rank. The higher you progress in Divisions and Ranks, the more lucrative your Weekly Rewards become. For instance, if you ascend from Division 3 to Division 2 during the week, you’ll receive the rewards corresponding to Division 2.

Base and Upgrade are both weekly rewards, but the second one requires a higher amount of points. Therefore, upgrade rewards are better than base rewards.

The weekly and upgrade rewards are delivered every Thursday at 8:00 UTC, while the milestone rewards are delivered at the end of the season.

Once the weekly competition ends, you can claim your Weekly Rewards shortly after, either in-game or on Web and the Companion App. In some cases, you will get to choose between different reward options.

Rewards could be Coins, packs (either tradeable or untradeable), or Champions Points to help you qualify for Finals Play-Off. Meanwhile, Season Milestone rewards will be given out after a Season finishes.

You will not be rewarded for the week you don’t play since the lowest rank requires at least one win.

For each Rivals weekly campaign in Football Club, you win Champions qualifier points. The points you receive depend on the division you are in. Once you’ve accumulated enough points, you win a token to qualify directly for the Champions Play-Off. The unused points do carry over to the following week.

No. All you have to do is reach the required points, regardless of your division. However, each division has a multiplier associated with it, making it more difficult to accumulate enough points if you’re in the lower divisions since they have easier opponents.

The competition refreshes every Thursday morning.

Each Division Rivals Season will run for the duration of a Ultimate Team Season. A Season usually lasts about four to six weeks.

There isn’t any cap on the number of games you can play in Division Rivals for Football Club 25.

This game mode is available since day 1. It can be played at any time, seven days a week.

Yes, Champions Finals and Division Rivals can be played simultaneously.

Matchmaking varies depending on whether you’re playing in Divisions 1 to 10 or the Elite Division.

Divisions 10-1
For both Solo and Co-Op matchmaking in Divisions 10–1, players are matched based on two factors:
– Your location. This determines which FC Game Data Center location will be used for your match.
– Your Rank. This means you’ll be matched with players that have a similar Rank as you.

Elite Division Matchmaking
In the Elite Division, matchmaking is based on:
– Your location. This determines which FC Game Data Center location will be used for your match.
– Your Skill Rating. You’ll play with players who are close to the same Skill Rating as you. As long as you have a 2200 Skill Rating or above, you’ll matchmake as if you had a 2200 Skill Rating. This is to help make it easier for higher-skilled players to find matches.

On PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions, the Skill Rating range is broader to accommodate the player base. In Co-Op, the matchmaking uses the Skill Rating of the higher-skilled player, allowing for similarity in Skill Ratings among Co-Op participants.

Yes. Division players can play each other, regardless of their platform.

Yes, it is. However, when you team up with a friend, you can only play against opponents with the same platform as you.

If you don’t want to play against Co-Op pairs in Rivals, a toggle lets you choose between a mix of solo players and Co-Op groups in your matches or just vs. solo players.

Champions and Rivals in Football Club 25 are played on a dedicated server.
